Mobile applications bigger than Internet
I read in a Norwegian newspaper today that mobile applications will be bigger than Internet, isn’t that a funny way to put it? Most mobile applications use services on Internet and Internet as a transportation for traffic between the application and the server. How can “mobile applications” then be bigger than Internet? Or did I miss something?
They are talking about how popular Apple’s App Store is, having 65000 applications and people have downloaded 1,5 billion apps. Is that why they call it bigger? To use their own way of saying this, I think The Internet has more than 65000 apps.
This came to my mind on the subject, an awesome episode of the IT Crowd :

A viking market on our way
On our way home we passed a huge viking market, a lot of people look forward to this event every year. In 2014 they are going to start building a permanent viking village here.

Visiting Vassfaret Bear park
A few days ago we visited Vassfaret Bear Park near Flå. The park covers 95 acres (380 decares) of land. Approximately 13 acres (50 decares) are alotted to the large animals, the elk and the bear. You may easily pass most of the day here in the open nature, walking, and being close to the animals, enjoying the peace and quiet and the beautiful nature. When the park is open, homely fare is available at Bertestugu, or, if preferred, fastfood from Bamsebua. If you bring your own food, you may prepare it over the open fire in the lavvo (laplanders’ tent), or use the gas barbecue.
I have to admit that it felt a bit weird seeing these animals within fences, it didn’t feel right.

Weirdest hotel rooms I’ve stayed in
I was browsing some old photos today and found a few from a trip through Europe, I still laugh when I see this and wanted to share them. Here is two of the weirdest hotel rooms I’ve stayed in.
I have to say that we didn’t want to spend too much money on hotels – there were so much else to spend it on. This is why we ended up at some weird places, but they were great in many ways – we really felt like being someone’s guests. So if you’re the owner of these ones I hope you don’t get offended, we enjoyed our stay.
These ones are from Belgium and Holland.
