We’ve had 4 great weeks, in the beginning of July we had days with 25-30 degrees where we went bathing and had a good time. Then we travelled to Gol, a small mountain city where we stayed at an awesome family hotel with huge swimming pool and a child pool. The huge pool has interval waves, that was fun and they had built a great kid-pool, it was like walking into a jungle. Slides, palms, trees, monkeys and alligators. Outside there were slides for the elder ones, I had to try them all but it was a bit cold outside, it was nice to take our little one into the warm jungle.

Our little one could spend ours in the water, she loved it and I forgot time – isn’t that what vacation is all about? Time was not an issue, we stayed up late, danced at the disco with clowns and other entertainment.

Then we went to our family place near the ocean a bit southwest of here, that is always a hit – the kids love it there. I’ve posted the view from the hut here so I guess you know why I love it. Its a calm place and at night you can hear the waves. We had a lot of fun, playing with the kids on the fields playing croqet and other fun games.

Today we ended our vacation with a large family party for the prince of the house, we celebrated his birthday today. Its always nice to invite family to birthdays, else its difficult to find a day where everyone has time – birthdays is always a good excuse to gather as many as possible.

It has been a great day, now I’m waiting for the dishwasher to end so I can fill it up again, and again, and again before I go to bed.

I kind of look forward to start work again, some parts of me miss it and I notice that the kids miss their friends at school and kindergarten. It was special to watch my little daughter when she saw a kindergarten photo with all her friends. She became quiet and studied it for quite a while, no words but I could se her mind work. I think she miss it and I look forward to see her reaction when I take her to her friends tomorrow morning.
